There are plenty of places to visit nearby and within a few minutes drive. Look out over the village from the terrace area while enjoying a barbecue, before strolling down to the Rookhope Inn for a welcome drink at the end of the day.
With a logburning stove in the inglenook, you can snuggle up on cosy nights in and enjoy a movie or losten to your music on the iPod dock.
Rookhope is a small, picturesque village nestling in its own valley just off the A689 route through Weardale, steeped in history with a strong community feel, the village offers primary school, village shop with Post Office, public house and a village hall. A number of walks, cycle paths and bridle ways are easily accessible in the area and enjoy stunning scenery and beautiful surroundings.
Travelling from Stanhhope, travel west on the A689 for approximately two miles until reaching the village of Eastgate, at the Cross Keys public house turn right, signposted for Rookhope, and travel for approximately four miles. Travel into the village and before reaching the public house, at the sharp left hand bend, turn right onto a farm track, follow the track up and bear right at the first opportunity following the lane to the rear of the properties. Travel along the terrace to the end following the lane around the property and the driveway is located straight ahead.
