Heritage Railways and Rail Museums

The North has several wonderful railways which make a great day out for kids of all ages. The nearest to Rookhope are the Weardale and South Tyne railways, with other railway centres throughout the region. Many of these also run ‘Santa Special’ trains around Christmas – check their websites for more information.
